What to see in the last 12 days of Comedy Festival

Nelly Thomas

Thanks to all who came out for a smashing Political Asylum at the Melbourne Town Hall on Saturday night. We achieved a new ticket sales record for our merry little brand, and put on a fantastic 90 minutes of topical laughs, hosted with great aplomb by the manically masterful Toby Halligan.

Don't hang up your giggle pants just yet - there's plenty more to see.

I cannot more highly recommend Nelly Thomas - she hit it out of the park for us on Saturday, and has a show on at Northcote Town Hall - put this show on your must see list.

Also in Northcote you can catch Stella Young's debut solo show - getting rave reviews and selling out, so don't delay.

Mick Neven is tackling the war on drugs this comedy festival (check him out at The Red Violin in the CBD). Mick is becoming one of our more regular guests at Political Asylum shows, and anyone who saw his terrific set on Saturday night will know why.

Rod Quantock. Need I say more? Always brilliant. At the Melbourne Town Hall.

And on Sunday 11 May Political Asylum will be back with a regular monthly gig at The Brunswick Green. Details as always at www.politicalasylum.com.au   See you there!
